Patty Bormolini - A Great Mother and A Better Friend
Patty Bormolini is a amazing woman. She has been a family friend of my mother's for many years, and is pictured above, 2nd from the left. Four years ago, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer. After spending over a year in chemotherapy, she recovered from her disease and became cancer free for the next three years.
However, in the past few months, she has developed a tumor behind her left eye. This has caused her to go blind in her left eye, and her right eye may be compromised as well. If she does not receive treatment soon, the tumor could spread to the brain, in which case she would not live much longer.
She is seeking treatments from a private medical company in Texas, and from Duke University. We are doing everything we can do help her be able to afford her treatment. She is a middle aged and middle class woman who would just like to be able to see her family and friends for the rest of her life.. If there was a choice between never seeing your family and friends and going blind.. but you needed more money to be able to not go blind, how would you feel?
It's hard to imagine, but know this much: your donation can help her through these incredibly tough times. Prayers and get well cards are also greatly appreciated, we love her and want her to be well again.
